At first, I justified the iPad time. 'Kids need tech skills!' 'He's just gaming with friends!' 'Look how much he's learning from YouTube!' 'We survived video games, right?' (Sound familiar?) But here's the truth: handing over devices became my go-to parenting shortcut when life got busy. A digital pacifier, if you will.
